Glocom’s GR-611D is a powerful SDR platform designed specifically to support dismounted soldiers over any terrain type. This radio offers ad-hoc networking capabilities including automatic multihop services for secured voice and data, significantly enhancing situational awareness and operational effectiveness over harsh field conditions. The radio leverages the TDMA Networking Waveform family for true simultaneous voice and data services over wideband, narrowband and ECCM channels, operating in UHF band. The radio provides additional built-in applications including Blue Force Tracking, network monitoring, signal intelligence and optional artillery fire control for use at all levels of the battlefield. The radio provides unique technology that maximizes communication dependability and range while minimizing network vulnerability.
Ad-hoc Networking
Self-forming, self-healing multi-hop TDMA network is one of the key advantages of GR-611D radio, enabling soldiers join the network in challenging urban and tactical environments. Its unique technology allows high survival connectivity between dismounted soldiers in situation where traditional backbone is not available or out of reach. Up to 4-hop automatic relaying efficiently extends the coverage in the battlefield enhancing seamless connectivity for dismounted soldiers. Scalable networking is unique quality of GR-611D, the network size can be modified up to 30 by flexible behaviour, maximizing throughput of the network.
Multiple Talk-Groups
Besides the broadcasting in the network, it supports simultaneous group talking based on tactical demand. Each group talking is entirely independent free from any interference to or from other group talking. The network is configured up to 9 groups and up to 9 members in each group depending on the number of groups. Dual PTT solution enables users distinguish broadcast and group talking in a simple way.
Advanced Soldier Audio Features
GR-611D provides advanced soldier audio features including full-duplex voice communication and VOX(voice operated switch) for soldiers.
■Full-duplex voice communication is implemented by advanced echo-cancellation technology, enabling soldiers conveniently talk and listen at the same time. ■VOX function provides users hands free operation while voice communication.
Embedded Applications
GR-611D radio provides varied embedded applications such as blue force tracking(BFT), visual network topology, network monitoring, SMS messaging and optional artillery control waveform.
■Blue Force Tracking
With the help of near-real-time blue force tracking, you will always get soldiers locations and improve co-operation behavior, increasing combat effectiveness.
■Visual Network Topology
Radios always capture the network topology and display bridging information on the connected Windows/Android application interface.
■Network Monitoring
Network monitoring function allows users analyse radio environment such as surrounding noise level and connection quality. This has a potential to assist in communication planning during tactical operations.
■SMS Messaging
Embedded SMS messaging makes it easy to send/receive messages between soldiers without any assistant Windows/Android applications. It allows the user to create and save pre-edited messages.
■Signal Intelligence
GR-611D’s powerful anti-jamming ability provides soldiers with free channel search under extreme radio environment with the help of its embedded signal intelligence.
■Optional Artillery Control Waveform
This optional waveform enables rapid and accurate execution of fire mission together with full command and control capabilities using existing infrastructure.
